Business Continuity in Challenging Times: Support, Resources, Grants
We’ve never faced a challenge quite like the one we’re amidst right now with the Covid-19 pandemic. There is no area of business, industry, or charitable and state enterprise that has not been affected in some way.
It may feel overwhelming and difficult to see a way forward for your business right now. Help is at hand. There are resources and supports available for you to move forward with confidence and a fresh perspective.
We’ve created this quick guide to the LEO (Local Enterprise Office) Business Continuity Voucher and Enterprise Ireland's Lean Business Continuity Voucher.
As an approved mentor and training provider for the Business Continuity Voucher scheme with both the LEO and Enterprise Ireland, we have a wealth of training options for your business.
We are fully on board with this scheme and want to support businesses as they navigate their way to calmer, steadier seas.

What is the Business Continuity Voucher?
The Business Continuity Voucher is a new initiative from the Local Enterprise Offices (LEO), designed specifically to support and guide businesses of all kinds during the current crisis.
It’s a grant scheme that awards a voucher worth up to €2,500 to each eligible business. The voucher is intended to contribute to training and consultancy that will help businesses to protect the health and future of their organisation.
The Local Enterprise Office website states that:
“The goal is to help companies make informed decisions about what immediate measures and remedial actions should be taken, to protect staff and sales.”
Who can avail of this voucher?
The wonderful thing about this voucher is that it’s available to such a broad spectrum of businesses, and in particular to those who will need it most right now.
- All Sectors: Businesses from all industries and sectors are encouraged to apply for this voucher.
- Small to Medium Businesses: This scheme is specifically designed to support small to medium enterprises with up to 50 employees.
- Ltd. & Sole Traders: The voucher is open to both companies and sole traders.
- 1 Business = 1 Voucher: The grant allows for one voucher per business.
Enterprise Ireland, IDA and Údarás na Gaeltachta Clients
If your organisation is already a client of Enterprise Ireland, Údarás na Gaeltachta, or IDA, you will not be eligible for this grant through LEO.
Don’t worry – there is a similar grant available to anyone who falls into this category.
Enterprise Ireland (EI) are offering a similar grant through their new Lean Business Continuity Voucher.
As an approved service provider with Lean Business Ireland (Enterprise Ireland’s Lean-focused network and funding initiative), we can advise on and provide suitable smart, strategic programmes designed to help your business survive – and thrive – in the times ahead.
